SCHOOLS & EDUCATION
Play-based, experiential Mindsight training for children, students, and learning environments.
Mindsight New Zealand works with schools and educational settings to deliver age-appropriate, engaging training experiences that support focus, emotional regulation, confidence, and positive group dynamics.
HOW MINDSIGHT WORKS IN SCHOOLS

Mindsight sessions in educational settings are:
-
Experiential rather than instructional
-
Inclusive and play-based
-
Designed to support curiosity, engagement, and participation
-
Adapted to suit age, group size, and classroom context
Rather than asking students to sit and listen, sessions invite active participation, helping children and young people feel relaxed, interested, and involved.
DEVELOPING AWARENESS AND INTUITION

Mindsight activities help students practise noticing internal cues such as attention, feeling, and perception, alongside external information from the environment. This supports the development of intuitive awareness in a grounded, practical way — helping students learn to pause, notice, and respond rather than react.
Rather than being taught what to think, students are encouraged to observe their own experience, building confidence in attention, decision-making, and self-trust. This can support emotional regulation, learning readiness, and positive engagement in the classroom.
Intuition in this context is not treated as a special ability, but as a natural human capacity that can be explored safely through play, curiosity, and guided activity.
AGE GROUPS & SETTINGS

Mindsight training can be adapted for a wide range of ages and learning environments, typically from around 5–6 years old upwards.
Suitable settings include:
-
Primary schools
-
Intermediate and secondary schools
-
Small learning groups
-
Alternative education environments
-
After-school or enrichment programmes
Activities are adjusted to match developmental stage, attention span, and group dynamics.
SAFETY, CONSENT, AND WELLBEING

All school-based training prioritises:
-
Psychological and emotional safety
-
Consent and choice
-
Clear boundaries and structure
-
Calm, supportive facilitation
Sessions are designed to be non-invasive, respectful, and appropriate for educational environments. Students are encouraged to participate at their own pace, without pressure or expectation.
WHAT SCHOOLS NOTICE

Educators often observe:
-
Improved engagement and focus during sessions
-
Positive shifts in group dynamics
-
Increased confidence and willingness to participate
-
Enjoyment, curiosity, and enthusiasm from students
Because sessions are enjoyable and interactive, students tend to remain engaged while still experiencing meaningful learning and connection.
