ABOUT MINDSIGHT NEW ZEALAND

Mindsight New Zealand provides structured training experiences exploring perception beyond eyesight. Often described as “seeing without eyes” or non-ocular perception, Mindsight training focuses on practical exercises, real-world application, and direct experience.

While no belief system or doctrine is imposed, effective training does require openness, curiosity, and a willingness to explore what may be possible. When the analytical mind prematurely concludes that something is impossible, the process can be interrupted before it has the opportunity to unfold. An open and engaged mindset allows individuals, teams, and groups to meaningfully participate, observe, and discover what emerges through practice.

Training can be adapted for individuals and groups across a wide age range, from young children through to adults, depending on context and setting.

Mindsight New Zealand works with individuals, families, groups, organisations, schools, and professional teams across New Zealand, delivering experiential training in both personal development and organisational environments.

MINDSIGHT, SEEING WITHOUT EYES, AND PERCEPTION

Mindsight is part of a wider field of research and experiential training often referred to as seeing without eyes, non-ocular vision, extra-ocular perception, or vision without eyes. While terminology varies, these terms generally describe the same underlying phenomenon: perception and awareness beyond conventional visual processing.

Public interest in this field has increased in recent years through documentaries and discussions such as The Telepathy Tapes, the Superhuman film, and educational programmes including ICU Academy, founded by Nicola Farmer. Mindsight New Zealand offers structured, experiential training for adults and children through personal sessions, group programmes, workshops, and retreats.

OUR APPROACH TO TRAINING AND FACILITATION

Mindsight training at Mindsight New Zealand is structured, experiential, and context-aware, making it suitable for both personal development and organisational settings.

Rather than focusing solely on outcomes, our approach prioritises:

  • Openness and curiosity as a foundation for learning

  • Clear, repeatable training exercises

  • Nervous system regulation and psychological safety

  • Inclusive, participatory facilitation

  • Observation, reflection, and integration

Sessions are designed to be engaging and enjoyable, often incorporating play, movement, curiosity, and group activities. This approach helps people relax, reduces overthinking, and supports participation — frequently reconnecting participants with a sense of creativity, excitement, and enjoyment sometimes described as reconnecting with the inner child.

For individuals and small groups, training supports personal capability development and expanded awareness.

For organisations, schools, and professional teams, Mindsight is delivered through facilitated workshops, group training sessions, leadership days, professional development programmes, and experiential learning environments.

GROUP, CORPORATE, AND ORGANISATIONAL TRAINING

In addition to individual training, Mindsight New Zealand delivers group and organisational training programmes for businesses, schools, and community organisations.

Our programmes are well suited for:

  • Corporate training and professional development

  • Team building workshops and facilitated sessions

  • Leadership and staff development days

  • Workplace wellbeing and resilience initiatives

  • Corporate off-sites, retreats, and planning days

  • End-of-year functions and Christmas events with purpose

Group and in-person experiences are especially effective. Teams tend to relax quickly, participate fully, and often experience a noticeable shift in group dynamics during the session itself. This shared experience supports rapport, collaboration, communication, and healthier working relationships back in the workplace.

Delivery formats include one-off workshops, multi-session programmes, on-site facilitation, retreats, and customised training aligned with organisational needs.

EDUCATION, SCHOOLS, AND FAMILY CONTEXTS

Mindsight New Zealand also works within educational and family environments, offering age-appropriate, play-based training designed for safety, engagement, and inclusion.

In school and youth contexts, training emphasises:

  • Psychological and emotional safety

  • Consent, choice, and participation

  • Play-based and experiential learning

  • Parental and educator involvement

These principles allow Mindsight training to integrate responsibly into classrooms, small-group learning environments, family programmes, and community settings.

PROFESSIONAL FOUNDATIONS

Mindsight New Zealand delivers training programmes developed in alignment with the Institute of Consciousness, a New Zealand–based organisation focused on research, education, and experiential learning related to perception and consciousness.

This relationship provides a strong professional and ethical foundation while allowing Mindsight New Zealand to focus specifically on training delivery, facilitation, workshops, and real-world application.

WHO MINDSIGHT TRAINING IS FOR

Mindsight training is suitable for people of all ages, typically from around five or six years old through to adulthood, and can be adapted to suit the individual, group, or setting.

Training is offered for:

  • Children and young people

  • Teenagers and students

  • Adults and professionals

  • Families and mixed-age groups

  • Businesses, teams, and organisations

  • Schools and educational environments

While the structure and facilitation style may differ by age or context, the core experience remains the same: engaging, participatory, and experiential.

Mindsight training incorporates fun, movement, curiosity, and group activities, creating an environment where people feel relaxed, included, and willing to participate. This playful approach supports nervous system regulation, builds confidence, and often reconnects participants with a sense of curiosity and enjoyment.

What matters most is openness, willingness to engage, and curiosity — not age, background, or prior experience.

A GROUNDED, EXPERIENTIAL FOCUS

Mindsight New Zealand does not seek to persuade or convince. Training begins with openness rather than certainty, allowing experience to guide understanding.

Whether delivered as a personal training session, a team building workshop, a corporate training day, or an educational programme, Mindsight offers a practical, engaging experience that supports awareness, connection, and meaningful participation.
